1 Pkg with 2 Sirloin Steaks (ca. 7-8oz each), frozen
These wonderful, lean little steaks are cut from the center of the sirloin into 7-8oz individual portions. As the photos show, each steak has its own personality— some are a bit thicker and others a bit thinner (aren’t we all?)— but they all have the same amazing flavor.
For maximum tenderness: season liberally with salt and pepper, pan-sear on very high heat for 1-2 minutes per side, then place in a 225 degree oven for about 15 minutes. For maximum efficiency: after searing, keep them on your stovetop and bring down the temperature to low, flipping back and forth every minute or so (depending on the thickness of the steak, about 6-8 minutes total). For both preparations, let rest 5 minutes and slice thin against the grain to serve.
